This list is for announcements and discussions of the cs591 class taught by Rolf Riesen in the Fall of 2007. The class covers operating systems and networking with a focus on distributed systems. We are reading papers and may do a couple of small projects towards the end of the year. We are using past comprehensive exam questions to guide the paper and topic selection. The goal of the class is to cover most topics that would be taught in cs587 (Advanced Operating System) and cs585 (Networking) but limited to what is needed to pass the comprehensive exam.
